FROM THE COMMODORE...

I am proud to serve you this year as the 35th commodore of Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club, one of the most prestigious, premier yacht clubs on the West Coast.  Thanks to a most supportive membership, we have a completely renovated Clubhouse to enjoy this year. The increased participation by our members in all we have to offer – sailing, racing, fishing, electric boat and cruising activities and the best restaurant in town will insure that 2010 is the best year ever for our Club.

My theme for this year is Blue Skies, Gentle Breezes and Harmony.

Blue skies because the future looks bright and clear as the economy improves and we fill our Clubhouse with the sounds of friendly conversations, music and laughter.

Gentle breezes because I promise to be gentle as we face the unknown issues awaiting us as we sail through 2010.  We will chart our course through the challenges awaiting us.  And we will enjoy the cruise.

And Harmony.  Harmony, peace and friendship, among our members is my ultimate goal for this year.  As you pass through our beautiful glass entry doors, leave your cares on the doorstep.  We have faced many challenges in the past but we are now cruising calm waters and the forecast is for blue skies, gentle breezes and harmony.

Thank you all.  It will be my pleasure to serve you as your Commodore for 2010.
