FUNCTION POLICIES

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club is a fully staffed facility and offers a large variety of services for your function and a wide assortment of menus to make your event an out standing occasion. We stand ready to assist you in the selection of food and beverages to fit your theme or to assist you in any special requests for you event.

DEPOSITS

A deposit is required on all private party functions:

A deposit in the amount of the room set up fee is required with the application on all functions. The balance shall be due four (4) days prior to the event, based on 90% of the estimated total. Members may charge deposits. All additional charges shall be payable at the conclusion of the event.

All advance deposits and payments, are non-refundable, but are applied to the final bill. Payments may be made with a cashier’s check, personal check, or credit card to which a 3% surcharge will be added.

GUARANTEES

In arranging for a function, the attendance must be specified 72 hours prior to the event. This number will be considered a definite guarantee, not subject to reduction, and charges will be made for the number served or the guarantee, whichever is higher. We reserve the right to assign suitable alternate space should your attendance fall substantially below the original number expected. Conversely, if the number grows, our rooms may not be able to accommodate the increase. If a final guarantee is not received, the Club reserves the right to use the number indicated on the original signed contract under the tentative attendance as the correct guaranteed number of guests. The 72-hour guarantee is based on a five (5) day workweek. Guarantees for events scheduled on Wednesday or Thursday would be required on Sunday of the previous week. The Club will be prepared to serve 5% over the guarantee.

PRICING

Prices for members in good standing are subject to an 18% service charge plus current California sales tax. Full members are required to pay 50% of the facility set up fees. Private parties may be scheduled by non-members who are sponsored by a full member. They will be charged a 20% service fee plus current California sales tax, and are required to pay 100% of the set up fees for the various facilities. Current prices are indicated of the banquet menus. All prices quoted are subject to a proportionate increase to meet increased price of foods, beverages and cost of operation existing on the date of the scheduled function. However, prices will be guaranteed 90 days prior to the event. No food or beverage, alcohol or otherwise shall be brought into the Club unless authorized by the Club Manager. The Club reserves the right to charge for such services.

 

MENU SELECTION

The Pacific Corinthian is a full service yacht club. All food and beverage must be supplied by the Club, with the exception of ceremonial cakes or other that has been discussed and authorized by the Club Manager. No food or beverage may be taken from the Club at the conclusion of the event. The menus included within this brochure are selections offered by our Chef. Should there be any special requests, we will most certainly attempt to accommodate your needs. Menu Selection is required 21 days prior to the function. All food and beverage is subject to an $18% Service Charge & Local Tax.

SPECIAL BAR SERVICE

We will be happy to make arrangements for a private hosted or a no-host bar for your event. There is a $75 fee for the bartender. We charge a corkage fee of $10.00 per 750ml bottle if you desire to bring your own wine or champagne.

DECORATIONS

All decorations must meet with the approval of the Pacific Corinthian Yacht club. Decorating time is two hours prior to the start of the event. The Club will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors or ceiling of the rooms with nails, staples, tape or any substance, unless the Club gives approval.

AUDIOVISUAL

The Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club does not provide audiovisual services but will be happy to assist you in making arrangements with a commercial firm.

SECURITY

The Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club will not assume any responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the Club prior to or following a function. The host will be charged for any damages or breakage other than normal use caused by the host or his guests. It is the responsibility of the host to secure and protect gifts and other items delivered to the function. The host agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Club, its officers, employees, agents and other affiliated entities against all claims, losses, damages and expenses arising from the host, his employees, subcontractors and guests while using the Club’s premises.

HOURS OF OPERATION

The maximum duration of any function is five (5) hours. Club policy requires all functions end no later than 11:30 PM. If additional hours are necessary, the rate is:

$250.00 per hour with 72 hour advance notice.

$350.00 per hour on the day of the function.
